Words
口语里也常说 “in other words”(换句话说)、“have words with someone”(与某人争执)。
- “Choose your words carefully when you email your boss.”
- “I don’t need fancy words—just tell me the truth.”
- “He kept his words and arrived on time.”
- 固定搭配: “in other words” (换句话说), “have words with” (与某人争吵), “words of wisdom” (箴言)
“The teacher asked us to write fifty words about our weekend, but my essay was only thirty words long.”
