Arguably

说话人提出一个有争议或可辩论的判断,暗示存在反对意见;比 “probably” 更强调论证空间。

动词 “argue” 去 “e” 加副词后缀 “-ably”,表示“可以如此争论地”。

评论写作与社论常用以软化绝对判断,避免显得武断;口语里有时带轻微挑衅。

argue(争论)+ -ably → 这件事还可以争一争,所以是“可论证地”。
