Described

“described” 强调用语言勾勒细节、特征或过程,常见于报道、证词与产品说明。被动语态突出被刻画的对象。

  1. “She described the suspect’s clothing in detail.” (她详细描述了嫌疑人的衣着。)
  2. “The article described how the river flooded the town.” (文章描述了河流如何淹没小镇。)

“describe” 源自拉丁语 describere(写下、描绘),de-(向下)+ scribere(写);过去式加 -ed。

scribe 是“抄写员”:describe 就是“写下来给别人看”,described 则是“已经写清楚”。
