Did

“Did” 可独立作实义动词 “do” 的过去式,表示完成某项动作。作助动词时,它帮助一般过去时的疑问与否定,也可用于强调(如 “I did tell you” 我确实告诉过你)。

  1. “They did their homework before dinner.” (他们在晚饭前做完了作业。)
  2. “Did you see the email I sent yesterday?” (你看到我昨天发的邮件了吗?)
  3. “She did finish the report, despite the tight deadline.” (尽管时间很紧,她的确完成了报告。)

“Do” 源自古英语 “dōn”,意为“做、放置”。“Did” 是其过去式的不规则形式,历史演变中固定下来。

“Did” 为不规则屈折形式,没有可拆分词缀。

口语里 “didn’t” 极常见;强调用法 “did + 动词原形” 在反驳或澄清误解时很有力。

  • 固定搭配: “did well” (做得好), “didn’t mean to” (不是故意的), “did a favor” (帮了个忙)

把 “did” 想成 “do” 的“过去盖章”:动作已经发生,就用 did。

“He did everything he could to support his teammates during the crisis.” (危机期间他竭尽所能支持队友。)
