Eyes
习语中 “keep an eye on” 表示留意;“in the public eye” 表示受公众关注。
- “Her eyes were red after crying for an hour.”
- “All eyes were on the singer when the lights came up.”
- “We need fresh eyes on this design before we launch.”
英语文学与歌词里 “eyes” 常象征情感与真相,如 “the eyes are the window to the soul”。
- 固定搭配: “keep an eye on” (照看、留意), “see eye to eye” (看法一致), “with naked eyes” (用肉眼)
“The cat narrowed its eyes and watched the mouse hole without moving.”
