Eyes

习语中 “keep an eye on” 表示留意;“in the public eye” 表示受公众关注。

  1. “Her eyes were red after crying for an hour.”
  2. “All eyes were on the singer when the lights came up.”
  3. “We need fresh eyes on this design before we launch.”

英语文学与歌词里 “eyes” 常象征情感与真相,如 “the eyes are the window to the soul”。

  • 固定搭配: “keep an eye on” (照看、留意), “see eye to eye” (看法一致), “with naked eyes” (用肉眼)

“The cat narrowed its eyes and watched the mouse hole without moving.”
