Fans
器物义指送风降温的装置；人群义指因喜爱而追随、欢呼、消费内容的爱好者，语气多为正面或中性。

- “Turn on the fans; it’s boiling in here.” (把风扇打开，这里热得要命。)

“风扇”义来自拉丁语 vannus（扬谷用的簸扇）；“狂热者”义为 fanatic 的缩写，十九世纪后流行。
“fans” 为 fan + 复数 -s；fanatic → fan 的截短形式属词汇缩短，非典型词缀。
流行文化与体育经济高度依赖 fans；社交媒体让 “fan communities” 跨国聚集，也带来 “toxic fandom” 等讨论。
