Finished
表示任务、比赛或阶段已到终点：finished homework（做完作业）、finished product（成品）。口语 “I’m finished” 可指“我累垮了”或“我受够了”，需看语气。
- “She finished the report before the deadline.” (她在截止日期前完成了报告。)
- “The race finished in a photo finish.” (比赛以终点摄影判定胜负告终。)

“finish” 源自古法语 finir，来自拉丁语 finire（使结束），与 finis（终点）同源。
fin（终点）+ -ish（动词后缀，表“使……”）+ -ed；形容词用法为分词形容词。
厨房 “finished dish” 指上桌前的成品；职场 “project finished on time” 是绩效亮点；竞技 “finished second” 报道名次。

fin- 像 final 的“终点线”：finish 是冲向终点，finished 是已经冲过线。
