Getting
“Getting” 延续 “get” 的多义性:表示获得物品、进入某种状态、理解信息或接近某地;口语里 “getting better” 也很常见。
- “She is getting ready for the interview.” (她正在为面试做准备。)
- “I’m getting the hang of this app.” (我渐渐掌握这个应用了。)
- “Traffic is getting worse every year.” (交通每年都变得更糟。)
“Get” 源自古诺斯语 “geta”(获得),进入中古英语后意义扩展;“getting” 通过 “-ing” 标记进行体或名词化。
词干 “get” + “-ing”,无额外前缀。
美式口语里 “How’s it going?” 与 “getting along” 都体现关系或进展;英式英语里 “I’ve got” 与 “getting” 常并存。
- 固定搭配: “getting started” (入门/开始), “getting along” (相处)
把 “get” 想成伸手抓取,“getting” 就是手一直没停:持续在“拿到/达到”。
