Glut
“Glut”
(Verb):
- 使供应过剩(to supply too much)。
- “There is a glut of oil on the international market right now.”
- “The market was glutted with cheap imported electronics.”
- “They glutted themselves on the feast until they couldn’t move.”
“Glut”
“In the summer of the bumper crop, there was a sudden glut of tomatoes. Farmers had so many that they couldn’t sell them all, and prices dropped to nearly zero. To avoid waste, the entire village decided to host a massive tomato festival, glutting themselves on pasta sauce and fresh salads for a week.”
