Going
“Going” 描述移动、进行或持续趋势(如 prices are going up)。作名词时可表示离开(comings and goings)或事情的进展(the going is tough)。在将来结构 “be going to” 里表示打算或预测。
- “They are going to the airport now.” (他们现在正去机场。)
- “How is the project going so far?” (项目目前进展如何?)
- “It is going to rain according to the forecast.” (据预报快要下雨了。)
“Go” 源自古英语 “gān”,意为“行走、移动”。现在分词 “going” 通过加 “-ing” 构成。
动词 “go” 加后缀 “-ing”:表示进行中的动作或作形容词性用法(a going concern 仍在运转的企业)。
“How’s it going?” 是北美常见的寒暄,相当于“最近怎么样?”;比 “How are you?” 更随意。
