Heretical

  1. “Galileo was once imprisoned for his heretical view that the Earth moves around the Sun.”
  2. “The scientist’s theories were considered heretical by the conservative academic community.”
  3. “In that totalitarian state, any criticism of the leader was treated as heretical.”

“The young monk had a heretical idea: that knowledge should be shared with everyone, not just the elite. Although his brothers were shocked, his secret library eventually helped educate the entire village.”
