Impressed

因能力、品格或成果而产生正面评价;常见结构 be impressed by/with;亦可指物理“压印”,但学习阶段以前者为重。

  1. “The judges were impressed by her calm stage presence.” (评委对她镇定的舞台表现印象深刻。)
  2. “I was not impressed with the slow service at that café.” (那家咖啡馆的慢服务让我不敢恭维。)
  3. “Investors were impressed when the startup turned profitable early.” (这家初创公司早早盈利,让投资人刮目相看。)

拉丁语 imprimere(压入、印上)→ 法语 impresser → 英语 impress;引申为“在心上留下印记”。

前缀 im-(进入)+ press(压);过去分词 “-ed” 作形容词,与 “depressed”、“expressed” 同类。

面试反馈、影评、社交媒体点赞式评论里常见;否定式 “not impressed” 带冷淡或讽刺语气。
