Opposed

“be opposed to” 指立场上不赞成某方案;既可用于个人意见,也可用于政党、组织之间的对立关系,语气通常比 “dislike” 更正式、更强。

  1. “Many residents are opposed to cutting down the old trees.” (许多居民反对砍掉老树。)
  2. “The two candidates held opposed views on healthcare funding.” (两位候选人在医疗资金问题上立场对立。)
  3. “She is not opposed to change, but she wants a clear plan first.” (她并不反对改变,但她希望先有清晰方案。)

拉丁语 opponere(放在对面)→ oppose(反对),过去分词形成形容词。
