Precisely

在技术、时间、测量语境中表示高精度;对话中单独说 “Precisely.” 相当于“没错,正是这个意思”。

  1. “The engineer measured the gap precisely to avoid assembly errors.” (工程师精确测量了间隙,以避免装配误差。)
  2. “The train arrived at precisely 8:00 as scheduled.” (列车按计划在 8 点整准时到达。)
  3. “‘So we need a simpler plan?’ — ‘Precisely.’” (“所以我们需要更简单的方案?”——“正是如此。”)

拉丁语 praecidere(切得整齐、明确)经法语进入英语,发展出 precise(精确的)。
