Problems
“Problems” 表示需要解决或令人困扰的事项，可大可小：从日常小麻烦到系统性难题。数学里指待解的题。语气比 “issues” 更直接，有时带负面压力感。
- “We need to talk about the problems with the new software.” (我们得谈谈新软件存在的问题。)
- “She is good at solving math problems quickly.” (她擅长快速解数学题。)
- “Financial problems forced the store to close early.” (财务困难迫使这家店提前关门。)
“Problem” 来自希腊语 “problēma”（被抛出的事物、难题），由 “pro-”（向前）和 “ballein”（投掷）构成，经拉丁语进入英语。
“Problem” 为整体词根借词；复数按英语规则加 “-s” 得 “problems”。
英语里常说 “no problem” 表示没关系；但 “problems” 作名词时多指真实障碍。职场邮件中 “challenges” 有时用来委婉替代 “problems”。
- 固定搭配: “solve problems” (解决问题), “health problems” (健康问题), “run into problems” (遇到麻烦)
“prob-” 联想 probe（探查），要先探清楚，才能处理一堆 “problems”。
“The engineer listed three problems: noise, heat, and battery life.” (工程师列出了三个问题：噪音、发热和续航。)
