Renowned
“Renowned” 描述人因成就或某地因特色而被大众称道,比 famous 更书面,常与 for 引导的领域连用:renowned for its cuisine。
- “She is a renowned expert on climate policy.”
- “The valley is renowned for its cherry blossoms.”
- “The museum houses works by renowned sculptors.”
own + renown:当别人反复 own your name(拥有你的名字于口头),你就 renowned 了。
“The renowned chef still peeled potatoes when no cameras rolled.”
