Scoring

“Scoring” 来自 score,可指体育比赛中得分(scoring a goal)、给作业或表现打分(scoring essays),或电影配乐(film scoring)。

  1. “He is scoring more points this season.” (本赛季他得分更多了。)
  2. “Teachers spend hours scoring final exams.” (老师们花数小时批改期末试卷。)
  3. “She works in scoring music for documentaries.” (她从事纪录片配乐工作。)

“Score” 可能来自古诺尔斯语 skor(切口、刻痕),古代用刻痕记数,引申为分数、得分。

“scoring” = “score” + “-ing”(现在分词/动名词)。

足球、篮球报道中 scoring 极高频;教育语境中 automated scoring 指自动阅卷。

score(分数)+ -ing → 正在得分或正在打分的动作。
