Standing
“Standing” 来自动词 “stand”。作不可数名词时多指某人在群体中的地位、声誉或资历，如法律或社会地位；也可指比赛中的名次。作定语形容词时常表示常设的、长期存在的（如 standing committee 常务委员会）。有时也与 “stand” 的现在分词用法相关，表示站立的姿态，但名词义项在新闻与学术语体中更突出。
