Sufficiently

常用于正式或书面语境,表示数量或质量“够用”;法律、技术文档里常见 sufficiently clear、reasonably and sufficiently。

  1. “The room was not sufficiently heated for newborn chicks.” (房间对雏鸡来说不够暖和。)
  2. “Applicants must be sufficiently fluent to handle client calls.” (申请人须足够流利,能应付客户来电。)
  3. “The evidence was not sufficiently strong to secure a conviction.” (证据不够有力,不足以定罪。)

拉丁语 sufficere(在下面供给、补足),sub- + facere(做);sufficient + -ly。

形容词 sufficient + 副词后缀 “-ly”。

学术评审、合规审计常用“是否 sufficiently documented”;口语可换 enough 更自然。
