Taken

“Taken” 表示动作已完成:被取走、被接受、被理解或时间已被占用。常见结构有 “has taken""was taken”。

  1. “All seats were taken before the show started.” (演出开始前所有座位都被占满了。)
  2. “She has taken the medicine twice today.” (她今天已经服过两次药了。)
  3. “The photo was taken at sunrise on the pier.” (这张照片是在码头日出时拍的。)

“Take” 源自古英语 “tacan”;过去分词 “taken” 为不规则变化,保留古英语 “-en” 分词痕迹。

“-en” 在此为不规则过去分词词尾,不是现代能产后缀。

安全提示里 “if taken incorrectly” 常见于药品说明;新闻里 “measures were taken” 表示已采取行动。

  • 固定搭配: “taken aback” (大吃一惊), “taken for granted” (认为理所当然)

把 “take” 想成拿走,“taken” 就是东西已经不在原处了。

“By noon, every sandwich had been taken from the office fridge except one lonely pickle jar.” (到中午,办公室冰箱里的三明治全被拿光了,只剩一罐孤零零的腌黄瓜。)
