Taking

“Taking” 常表示正在拿走、接受、承担或占用(时间、空间)。也可作名词指“收入份额”或影片拍摄的镜头选取(较专业)。

  1. “Taking notes helps me remember the lecture.” (记笔记帮助我记住讲座内容。)
  2. “She is taking the train instead of driving today.” (她今天坐火车而不是开车。)
  3. “The project is taking longer than we expected.” (这个项目花费的时间比我们预期的长。)

“Take” 源自古英语 “tacan”,与 grasp、seize 的概念相关;“-ing” 构成动名词或现在分词。

后缀 “-ing” 将动词名词化或表示进行体。

日常对话里 “taking care of” 表示照料;商务语境 “taking responsibility” 强调担当。

  • 固定搭配: “taking care of” (照顾), “taking into account” (把……考虑进去)

把 “take” 想成伸手去拿,“taking” 就是手一直没放下、动作在进行。

“He stood in the rain, taking small sips from a thermos while waiting for the bus.” (他站在雨里,一边等公交一边从小保温杯里小口喝水。)
