Took

“Took” 描述过去发生的 “take” 行为:可以是取走物品、花费时间、搭乘交通工具,或接受意见与态度。

  1. “She took the last seat on the bus.” (她坐上了公交车的最后一个空位。)
  2. “The repair took two hours.” (修理花了两个小时。)
  3. “He took my advice and apologized.” (他听取了我的建议并道了歉。)

“Take” 源自古诺斯语 “taka”,与瑞典语 “taga” 同源;“took” 为不规则过去式,来自古英语 “tōc”。

不规则动词变化,无现代可分析的前缀或后缀。

口语 “it took guts” 称赞勇气;摄影里 “she took a portrait” 很自然,体现“拍摄”义。

  • 固定搭配: “took off” (起飞/脱下), “took place” (发生)

短促的 /tʊk/ 像快速把东西从桌上“抽走”的声音。

“The photographer took three shots before everyone relaxed.” (摄影师拍了三次,大家才放松下来。)
